An Ceathrú Póilí
An Ceathrú Póilí book shop was started in 1983 in the Ard-Scoil on Divis Street at the bottom of the Falls Road. The shop was located in a few different locations – Cumann Chluain Ard, Conway Mill, Andersontown news’ old offices – until they moved into the Cultúrlann in 1990 as well as the brand new Irish medium secondary school Meánscoil Feirste, the Irish language magazine Lá, and the Caifé Glas.
There’s a wide range of Irish language books available in the shop as well as books about various parts of Irish life, music and song CD’s and other goods that are locally made or made in the Gaeltacht or that have Irish on them: crafts, cards for very occasion, T-shirts and much more. There is information and advice available for the customer in the shop.
Family Corner
Our Family Corner or Cuainne na Clainne is perfectly situated right beside Bia Restaurant so that you can keep an eye on the little ones while you have a coffee or a bite to eat.
Children's Parties
An Chultúrlann are delighted to be the only centre providing a package for kids birthday parties that’s all as Gaeilge! We will provide invitations, games for the kids to play, tea and coffee for the parents and we will even decorate the room.
