Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich is an Irish language, arts and cultural centre situated in the heart of the Gaeltacht Quarter on the Falls Road, Belfast, in a former Presbyterian church which dates back to 1896. Cultúrlann was founded almost 30 years ago and since then has been in the vanguard in regard to the revival of the Irish language in the city. Having welcomed more than 100,00 visitors to the centre during 2019, we take pride in providing our patrons with the opportunity to experience life to the full, through Irish, here in Cultúrlann.
The staff and board of West Belfast's Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich are delighted to be announced winners of the Glór na nGael 2019 competition.
‘From the most sorrowful hearts comes the most beautiful music’ or so the proverb goes, and even though we are all, undoubtedly, living through a very testing time the explosion of creativity and solidarity we have witnessed across the community offers us great hope and comfort. Here in Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, even though our doors remain closed, we are determined that you can still have access to the very best of music, culture and art that this country has to offer.
